Taking out the Trash

I find it an interesting part of life that we make and create so much trash on a daily basis.  I never really paid attention to the quantity of trash until I moved into a home.  It was actually a challenge to discover what to do with my trash as the city I am living in does not provide any kind of trash service.  We are surrounded by cities that provide the service at a reasonable price and yet I am in the highest quality city in the state which decided not to provide the service.

My tax dollars are at a higher rate and still the city does not provide a trash service.  For me this made it complicated to discover who would actually take my trash away.  So I went on the lookout for online services.  I then found multiple services available and didn’t know which one to choose.

So, I called up as many people as I knew who lived in this city and they all had different answers. It was a complicated task of deciding who would take my cheap moving boxes from my garage and dump them in a sustainable manner. After much consideration I ended up choosing a company which had the best reputation.  I say this with a grain of salt because every company had poor ratings online.  I don’t understand how a city does not provide trash pickup and the only providers are considered poor services.  Why are there not more higher end companies that provide a superior service for a lower price.  I do believe there is something afoot.

It looks like there are only a certain amount of contracts available that the city gives out. So in an essence they are limiting the capitalism that our country is founded upon.  They have limited the services available and given us only poor choices.

Seriously, my garage is full of cheap movingboxes and no one with the proper sustainable dumping service is available to use. It is now my goal to find out who is repsonsible for implimenting the limited amount of trash services available and let the city know that this person or board of people voted against freedom.  They have limited services and I bet taken money in the form of politcal fundraising to do what they have done.  So from this day forward I am on the search to see who has limited our choices and hence limited serice and freedom.
